Sébastien Labelle
Sébastien Labelle is the Festival Director for Mayworks Kjipuktuk/Halifax and Executive Director of the Bus Stop Theatre Co-op. He is an actor and theatre artist, as well as a community activist and former union organizer. He has been a creative collaborator for the River Clyde Pageant since 2016, sharing skills he has learned as an apprentice at Bread & Puppet Theatre and in the years following. His involvement in both the arts and social movements has informed each other to reinforce his strong belief in the capacity of art to propel social change. He has performed with numerous Nova Scotian theatre companies, including Halifax Theatre for Young People, Eastern Front Theatre, Matchstick Theatre, Mocean Dance, Zuppa, Workshirt Opera, Shakespeare By the Sea, Villain's Theatre, 2b Theatre, Two Planks and a Passion Theatre. Screen credits include The Good House, Chapelwaite, Diggstown and Black Cop.
