Accessibility Action Plan (2022-26) 2024 Update
Since 2016, the Pageant has prided itself in fostering community connections and bridging cultural and social gaps through participatory arts programming.
However, we’ve recognized gaps in the Pageant’s accessibility in recent years thanks to input from audiences, participants and community stakeholders. Many people cannot access our programming as easily as others, and we want to start changing that.
With this four-year Accessibility Action Plan, we hope to:
Reach a wider, more diverse range of collaborators, audience members and volunteers
Create spaces that are safer for more people
Build systems of support for our local community
And develop structures of accountability for our organization
This plan is a key step toward our core values of fostering a sense of belonging and care for people and place within all our programs and activities.
