River Clyde Arts
a forever home for the Pageant Season, and a centre for rural creativity in New Glasgow, PEI
We are looking for a permanent home and we need your help!
We love New Glasgow and want to put down roots. A permanent home would enable us to offer year-round programming; host workshops, performances and visiting artists; cultivate a garden; and provide a space for our community to gather for celebration and exchange.
We imagine a rural arts hub, deeply connected to New Glasgow, but also engaging with artists and community leaders from across PEI and around the world. A place to explore the intersections of art, ecology and community action. A place to develop new skills, meet new people, and try new things. A place where all are welcome, and where collaborative creativity connects us to the environment, to each other, and to our shared future.
We Need Your Input!
What could a rural arts hub in New Glasgow look like?
What community-centre-style benefits could this venue provide?
What other gaps currently exist in the region that River Clyde Arts could address?
Do you have ideas or resources you want to contribute to this project?
This is an ambitious project and we need the help of our community to realize it. We are looking for ideas, but also donations of funds, equipment, expertise and time. If you think you have something to offer, we’d love to hear from you.
