Natalia Cortes
Natalia Cortes is a multidisciplinary theatre artist based out of Calgary, AB and Toronto, ON whose practice centres around the exploration of different storytelling mediums. She received her formal training at George Brown Theatre School and is currently attending Mount Royal University for social innovation. In recent years, her love for community inspired work has brought her to work with companies such as Calgary Young People's Theatre, Sage Theatre, Paprika Festival, Green Fools Theatre Society, Chromatic Theatre and, of course, The River Clyde Pageant! As of late she can be found designing and creating devised work that more intimately captures what she values most: connection, community and home.
Natalia was drawn to The River Clyde Pageant for its marvellous community inspired approach to theatre creation. She looks forward to further fostering her connection to the island and collaborating with pageant friends once again!
