Kelly Caseley
Kelly Caseley is a multidisciplinary visual artist living, working and raising her family in beautiful Epekwitk/PEI. She continues to explore(and conquer) as many different artistic mediums as she can, convinced that eventually, she will be able to take over the art world and reign supreme!
For the time being, she is content spending the summer costuming for The River Clyde Pageant and creating installations for The RTE 11 Music Festival.
After studying fashion design at The International Design Academy in Montreal, she returned to PEI only to discover the Island was not quite ready for her incredible fashion-forward designs. She turned instead to theatre and film, where her ridiculous ideas were accepted and often, even encouraged. From there, she took to props building, stage managing, production design, and even writing and directing for TV - I wasn’t stretching the truth about the whole conquering as many different mediums as possible. After feeling at least moderately confident in her abilities in these areas, she then decided to study Heritage Carpentry, which has led to designing and creating sets and large outdoor art installations.
Sadly, Kelly can’t actually do everything. She can neither sing nor play an instrument, so the Island’s artists are safe for the time being. Her hobbies include consuming as much rhubarb as humanly possible and buying art and stationery supplies in copious amounts
