Evan Medd
Evan is a performer, puppeteer, dramaturg and theatre maker based out Calgary and Vancouver. He received his BFA from SFU's School for the Contemporary Arts where he trained in interdisciplinary performance and collaborative creation. Evan is a Co-Artistic Producer of the Major Matt Mason Collective, a working ensemble who have been making and producing theatrical works aimed at Calgary's younger generation for ten years now. As a dramaturg, Evan is passionate about supporting playwrights just beginning to refine their artistic voices, doing so through MMMC's Wildfire Playwriting Unit for Canadian playwrights under 30. His work on the River Clyde Pageant has been instrumental in shifting his artistic interests towards community engaged performance and environmentally charged puppetry.
